What I meant by it being discovered is what ever townie that used it activated it's announcement telling everyone who is playing who has it...

There is a chance it is discovered, and you can just pass it along.

When they do find out then They will be looking for it...

the will analyze the ring bearer, deduct who they may pass it to, and kill the both of them.

The only purpose of that happening is that we will find out that scum is a very good player...

Well I think a townie would be nervous to have an artifact that benifits scum more then it benefits town... All it can do is render someone untargetable and unkillable.
