That's it, we're full!  Good job guys, you filled it in six hours.


I am locking the thread now to set up the game.  I will send out alignments shortly- please respond within 24 hours to choose your class once you receive your alignment.  If I do not hear from you by the time I start the game, I will assign you randomly.  You will still get the bonus if that happens, but if you want random, please let me know as a courtesy.

To answer a few questions:

There are three mafiosos this game.  Everyone else is town- no third parties (this time!)

Artifacts are unique- once a specific one is generated, it won't be generated again.


Also, if I get everyone's class choice early, we can start early.

Ages ago, the legendary Gold Dragon King lived deep in a cavern below the Coal Hills in the northern reaches of the kingdom.  From there, he wreaked havoc over a gigantic span of terrain, terrorizing the people and stealing vast amounts of treasure.  Fed up with his depredations, the hero Donrick gathered up a band of followers and quested deep into the cave to slay the Gold Dragon King.

Only one man was able to limp out of the dungeon, carrying the dragon’s horn as proof that the beast had been slain.  The group was successful, but the dragon and the other beasts in the cavern had taken their toll on the group.  He reported vast quantities of treasure lying deep in the bottom of the dragon’s lair.

Over the years, many have sought the treasure, but no one has returned from the deepest parts of the dungeon.  You thirteen have gathered as a group to journey to the bottom and recover the infinite riches that await you.

However, there is trouble from within the group as well as without.  It seems that not everyone is intent on working together.  Three of you are working against the others to get all the loot for themselves- a fact proven when the pack animals carrying your supplies are cut loose in the night.

In the dungeon, there is only the justice meted out by yourselves.  You must work together to find the ones responsible, and take them out before they do the same to you!

Can you survive the Hall of the Gold Dragon King?

A note on items:  It may not be clear if you haven't followed the game discussion or studied the item list, but items are limited use:

Scrolls have one use
Wands have two uses
Staves have three uses

All others are permanent effects unless the description explicitly says otherwise.

   In your response here you mention blame being due
yet you do not give any reason for it to be due in this case.
You do mention lurking and being useless though, this connects
the two in a persons mind.
