Inflate Error -3
« on: April 02, 2007, 09:55:00 pm »

I was just recently playing on Adventure mode with my god like Pikemaster/Axe Lord/Mace Lord/Elite Archer.

I just tried to save before confronting a dragon, but the game quit on me. And now whenever I try to start up any mode of play, I get this message and DF quits on me.

I am playing in a totally unmodded DF. Can anyone help?

Youre file is gone-the save was corrupted. It will happen eventually, especially if you die, shut the program down and reload-so you should backup the files in the future. I just lost my human macelord to it.

No, I can't play at all, nothing.

Not even Fortress mode.

That's because your save is gone. =)

You'll have to "Create a New World" from the menu and delete the old save folder.  If you don't want to spend nigh-unto fifteen minutes to an hour generating a new one, and you have a high-speed connection, you can always download one of the unmodded worlds off of the site to save yourself a little bit of time (7 or 8 megs shouldn't take more than a minute or so on anything ADSL or better).
