Let's play Roguelike

Right now your probably saying, "which roguelike?" All of them. You heard me, ALL OF THEM! Well, no excatly. I'll be honing my hacking skills. Also, I really prefer ascii. Please suggest games. I'll be writing down what happens on a notepad, so there will be a wonderful descriptive nearly turn by turn narrative, and I'll be writing from the perspective of my charcter.

FOR ASCII!!!!

Looking about I realize that this place is a mess. I begin to pick up trash and try to find a way to throw it out. I cleaned my room and made it look all nice and purty. Also I keep getting bombarded by random death messages. I think I go outside. Some random girl named Norne is yelling at me. I'm just ignoring her. After listening to her babble she gave me the travel guide. What ever. Now I'm in a tower. What to do?

Note: When I die in a game I'll go and play another game. I'm not reading the tuturial because I want to die fast, This game is scary to my ascii brain. Also the music is to pleasent. Blarg.

The fucking bat is being a jumpy bastard, so for now he lives. FOR NOW!
Going through the door. Looking at a rune. Fighting a hermit crab, HOLY FUCK A DEMON! And he's hungry, GREEEAAAT! Well, he got fed. NEXT GAME!

So... IVAN? Never played it. Better be fucking ascii. All that anime nearly killed me.
