Death is no escape from dwarven justice!
« on: March 31, 2007, 06:36:00 pm »

After a particularly harrowing series of deaths, two of my dwarves tantrumed and attacked each other. Fortress guards saw and intervened, but before they could break them up, one had murdered the other. However, dwarves are sticklers for protocol, and won't listen to any pathetic excuses like "I'm dead" to get off serving jail time. The diligent fortress guards chained up both offenders, including the corpse.

That surpasses even John Cleese! "I'm not dead! I feel fine!" -- Holy Grail, somewhere

Are you sure it wasn't intended as a punishment for the still-living dwarf?

</tongueincheek>

Hey, any proper dungeon needs some chained skeletons for proper atmosphere.

All of the blood around the corpse indicates the dwarf probably died in that room at that location, rather than being brought and chained there after death.  The justice jobs don't interact with items.  Any more information on this?

Nope, I saw it happen. The dwarf definately died outside the jail and was brought there afterwards.
