As it is now, adventurers don't really need to eat or anything, and I don't think there's any way to make it so you need to drink blood yet.

By definition, vampires are a subrace of other races, so you'd have a vampire dwarf, or vampire human.

It might work better to assume that the peons are normal mortals, but that the unseen puppetmaster of the colony (you) is the vampire.  Vampires shouldn't have to haul trash, chop lumber, or do other scutwork.

Depending which version of vampirism you're going for, there's no real good way to implement it.  That is, light sensitivity isn't implemented (that I know of) in a way that makes sense for vampires.  Neither is blood sucking as nourishment.  You can create a race called vampire, but as far as being a charming, bloodsucking Dracula, not so much.
