Do you want the map? because as long as you don't go outside (or look away from them with far or normal fog) any at all of the currently generated chunks, the map should load fine in SSP and not become un-Nordic.

Its another auth server downing. not much compared to stuff like all of the servers being down and being stuck at the updating minecraft screen.

Actually, if they count as mobs not animals, the should be disabled from spawning right now anyways. so its already fixed as long as they aren't already there, Furt.

Because you guys are doing it manually? The mobs that were already spawned will still exist until they don't, any new ones won't spawn because spawn mobs is set to false in server.properties.

?  to test if it was working I set it to day, then used butcher, then set it to night, and then I waited for about 3 seconds, looked down, and there were 3 creepers and 4 zombies below me

Well then I have no idea. spawn_monsters=false disables mob spawns, and if its not working than theres bigger problems than a slightly monster-having adventure map.
