So, I decided to do the smart thing and find out if there is interest first.

I'll be directing our "Steam" Group here, for announcements and so on if this picks up.

As of right now I can play with the BA mod and an outdated (Or maybe not, its only like 4 months old version) of XA. I can get Complete Annihilation (Zero-K as of recently....I don't get the name change, maybe distinction, but the name itself still makes no sense) within the week.

Spring is an engine for creating RTSs. Each mod on the engine is a "game". Its all free, and quite a few of the mods are reaching a stage where they could be sold for some good money if they developed a better AI and a campaign. The most popular mods, ending usually in "Annihilation", base themselves off of an old RTS called Total Annihilation. It was made by Chris Taylor, and started the "Grand" RTS type of strategy, with games such as Supreme Commander, which was also made by Taylor.

Game is pretty similar to Supreme Commander, with more focus on managing your units over your base. If you've never played SC, well....I guess the only difference from other RTSs would be the commander unit, which is your high HP start unit that does some good damage while being able to build your base. It also has a D-gun which instantly obliterates targets in a short direction. Most of the mods also have all three phases of war, water-air-land.

To play, you need to download the Spring engine. Some google foo will find it for you. Then you need to download mods and maps. You can either do this directly by going to some hosting site, or you can download it from within the built in lobby, called Spring Lobby. When a game doesn't have a map/mod you have, right click it and select the download option. You can keep track of it from the download tab.

The main game will be this weekend, all Saturday afternoon and into the night. I live in Eastern US, so just do your own time calculations. Probably start it around 1 PM. The mod we do, however, is up to debate. I have a good possibility for getting some mods on Friday, so please vote on the poll.

Hello everybody,
it's been ages since I posted here.
I am down for some Spring Action, I voted for BA, but I would rather play S44, Evorts or Kernel Panic.
I have been playing Spring for the past few months and I am becoming good in most of the mods
I say S44, or Kernel Panic because those are the two mods I have played the least, and I am bad at them
Also Evorts is really fun and simple, people would learn everything there is in their first game, although I am currently one of the best players in it mostly because I am one of the few ~20 that play it

Too much DSD my friend. It went too far with 3 DSD servers, TOO FAR.


Actually, I'm not sure. I probably got bored and moved onto something else. I was starting to get extremely angry with noobs....which is a sign I need to cool off on a game. Taking it too seriously and such.
