0700 1 June
This one is being streamed live! I don't expect much to happen this month, what with the rain and all, but action in the south is most likely.
1500 1 June
Kaunas comes under attack by 21 German divisions.
1400 2 June
Rowne, to the north of Tarnopol, is our next target. 18 divisions from Zhitomir plus 20 from Tarnopol and a handful from the swamps in Korosten, will carry it out. We'll have to wait for an HQ to arrive from Stanislawow.
2100 2 June
60 divisions attack our 51 in Beltsy, but our 51 are dug in and full-strength.
1300 3 June
Victory in Kaunas.
2300 3 June
We'll be able to start our attack in 24 hours.
1500 4 June
Kaunas comes under attack again. The attack on Rowne is set to go as soon as the HQ gets into place.
0000 5 June
Hungarian bombers fall before our interceptors as the attack on Rowne gets under way. 58 Soviet divisions against 26 German. Reinforcements from Luniniec are inbound, but we can attack from Bobraisk if it looks like they're going to make trouble.
0000 11 June
Soon after, we win in Rowne. Troops will trickle in to continue the defense, but we'll have the better of them.
0100 12 June
Research on the new Pe-2 (immortalized in the Il-2 expansion as 'Peshka') tactical bomber is complete. We'll go for the next tech, too, the Tu-2.
1600 12 June
Operational plan for the rest of the summer: reach Brest-Litovsk. That will give us a launching point for whatever encirclement, be it of the north or the south, we want to try.
0800 13 June
The Germans make a doomed attack on Siauliau.
0000 14 June
Rowne falls to us. The next attack will probably target Kowel, or perhaps Pinsk. An attack on Pinsk would best be combined with an attack on Baranowicze, to trap some Germans in Luniniec, so I'll get that started.
1600 14 June
The encircling attacks will start on the 16th, at which point our HQ units will be in position.
0800 16 June
Attacks launch on Pinsk, Baranowicze, and Luniniec (to pin the Germans in place).
0700 17 June
Siauliau's defense is another victory for us.
0900 18 June
Baranowicze has some of the best troops left in Germany, interestingly enough.
1300 19 June
Oops. Our pinning attack succeeded first. On the plus side, that'll give us another angle on Pinsk and Baranowicze.
2200 20 June
The Germans are obviously committing heavily to the defense of Pinsk, so we might let them.
1400 21 June
Beltsy comes under attack, but it's almost not worth mentioning.
0200 22 June
Vassilevsky leads an attack on Kowel, since it's been depleted to reinforce Rowne.
1100 23 June
I cut our production of infantry further. Once our paused bomber production line finishes retooling, it'll be the first time that our upgrades have a larger budget than our new production.
0000 25 June
Troops reach Luniniec.
2200 25 June
Luniniec proves handy, as we use it to attack both Baranowicze and Pinsk from a different direction.
2200 26 June
Baranowicze is going to fall soon, and probably Pinsk too.
1200 27 June
Baranowicze falls, and our troops march in.
1800 28 June
Vassilevsky's attack looks like it's going to succeed. I didn't have mcuh of an expectation of that.
1400 29 June
I'm going to launch an attack from Wilno and Lida into Grodno once a headquarters unit gets there.
1800 1 July
Our troops advance toward Pinsk.
1800 2 July
Target in the north remains Grodno. Targets in the south are Kowel, Lvov, and Brest-Litovsk, probably in roughly that order.
1300 4 July
Attacks will continue on the 8th or so, afte rsome headquarters units move around (a common refrain, I know).
0000 5 July
Basic hospital system done. Next: advanced. Hospital techs add to our manpower trickleback rate (a percentage of losses that we get back). It'll be handy. There's a lot of offensive left to carry out, although the fronts are going to be smaller before long.
0000 7 July
The political map as it stands.
0800 8 July
July rains slow down our plans.
0800 9 July
According to the production screen, we have 346 obsolete divisions.
1600 9 July
We begin an attack on Kowel. We'll start on Lvov too. Rokossovsky gets in on the latter, having departed Beltsy for that. We also engage Grodno. It's a big offensive, this one.
1400 11 July
The battles are going well.
2000 12 July
Victory in Kowel.
1000 14 July
We seem likely to take all of our current targets: Grodno, Slonim (north of Pinsk), and Lvov.
2100 14 July
To relieve the pressure on Kowel, I'm going to make an infantry attack on Brest-Litovsk.
1700 16 July
I don't think the Red Army has been this heavily engaged since the start of the war.
0000 18 July
Soviet troops march into Slonim, where they'll be able to attack Grodno from a fourth direction.
1600 18 July
The Germans retreat from Grodno and Lvov almost simultaneously.
0700 20 July
The attack on Brest-Litovsk is, for the moment, called off, leaving us with no combats at the moment. We'll probably hold these positions until the start of August. In fact, I probably won't have anything more to report unless there are major German attacks, so.
1700 24 July
Oh, hey! There's the first attack on Khabarovsk.
0000 1 August
Predictably, we win in Khabarovsk.
