Nah, as long as the meat grinder is on in Vladivostok, we at least know where they'll reinforce. You don't want them to start landing all over the place.

Getting some naval bombers to attack their supply lines might be worth it however. Any news of the Bulgarian front?

I'd like to get it up today, but it depends on whether or not family is visiting/my family will be visiting other family.

Do you have a corp I could take command of? Is Vasilevsky free? I'd love to have him in the Far East, ready to re-do his IRL accomplishment of routing the Japanese in 24 days (less than an update!)

Vasilevsky's all yours. If I recall correctly, he's ~skill 4, commanding moderately-experienced troops in the Beltsy region. Him and Volskiy I might send north in the next update to add some punch to that offensive. We might go so far as Königsberg next month; getting a hold of it would be a big victory for us, and it would let us start to make a big strategic encirclement in the north.

Mmmmh, who's in command of the Far East front? Are you even at war with Japan? Also, maybe it's just me, but are you quietly abandonning the Southern offensive? So far, it seems the southern end of our two-pronged offensive is the one that need loving, tender car and fresh armored division. So far only Beltsy falled. And you're taking troops from the South to help the already-victorious Northern offensive?

Quote from: Sun Tzu
The army's formation is like water.

The water's formation avoids the high and rushes to the low.

So an army's formation avoids the strong and rushes to the weak.

I'd say we actually have rough numerical parity with the Germans in the north in terms of division count, and there aren't many German divisions left there with more than 75% strength. Most are significantly lower than that. Having some armored breakthrough units to charge in after the initial fighting is over will give us the ability to snaffle great hunks of territory off the Germans, and that might draw forces away from Beltsy, where we're not likely to make further advances without similar three-month grinds.

I bow to Sun Tzu. Let my (Vasilevsky's) corps strike where the Nazis are weak. What troops are under my command?

I'll play it tomorrow (probably two months again) and have it up sometime after. Since there's that new Avatar series, I had to watch all of the last one, which has taken up most of my not-work time the last two weeks. :P
