Why didn't you circle Zhitomir?

That would've involved taking Tarnopol and Rowne first, and would have also stretched out the lines a bit more than I would have liked.

Looking at those charts, the Axis losses appear to be completely due to us.  Good job bleeding the Germans dry, as usual.

I see that I'm supporting Zukhov, as usual.  I've got your back, Taricus!

I'll be away for the New Year, so you can expect the next update around the 7th.

I did in fact play on the 7th, but neglected to get it all together. It should be coming tomorrow.

Sorry for the long delay. I had some family things come up, but all better now, and I should be back to playing this weekend.

Is the plan still a surge towards the Balkans and the less Axis members?

The plan had been to press hard on the Baltic states and northern Germany, but progress has been slow there, the Romanian winter is rather less formidable, the Balkan states are likely to be easy to knock out of the war for good, and the oilfields at Ploesti in Romania are about as obvious a strategic objective as exists for us, and as more infantry rolls off the production lines, we ought to be able to adequately hold those gains.

I was going to make the point that all of these generals have been accumulating glory, just not on the attack, but Rokossovsky hasn't done much at all since Finland. >.>

Zhukov's an obvious, well-known name, and despite being a Russia fan I've never really read any particularly deep treatments of the Eastern Front, so discovering guys like Rokossovsky and Sokolovsky is necessarily an organic prospect. :P

Frustrating, Rokossovsky's tank units are past obsolescent and into obsolete now, almost as though 170IC in new construction doesn't leave us a great deal of headroom for upgrades.

Obviously, I haven't been pestering you enough for new tanks.

WE NEED NEW TANKS!  :P
