Goodbye, Nemelex! Nemelex started chuckling, because he shuffled every deck in the dungeon.
I get the last laugh, because I only have tomb cards left.
TSO finally realized that Dik-Dik is evil.
I picked Makhleb for his healing-for-killing power. And we're going be killing a lot pretty soon.
After grinding for piety in the Abyss we're ready to enter a ziggurat!
A ziggurat is a pay-to-play portal vault that asks for a ridiculous amount of gold for a chance to battle your way through a series of 27 rooms for loot. The size of each room, difficulty of the randomly-selected monster set, and size of the loot pile increases with each level.
Levels 1-9 are doable for most characters capable of winning.
Sometimes you'll get a pandemonium lord in an early level.
So far, the loot sucks. I'm tempted to skip these levels.
I'm just showing off Tornado 'cause I'm bored. Tornado is a wonderful level 9, pure air spell in 0.8. It surrounds you with a radius 5 tornado which follows your movement, and lifts you into the air (flight). Tornado deals huge damage over a few turns but decreases in power in enclosed spaces.
The loot is starting to get better.
Easy.
There was a ghost moth here. Otherwise, it was easy.
Easy.
I got tormented a few times here, but Tornado caused me to fully heal a few turns later.
My strategy so far: cast Tornado, walk into enemies, win!
Bah! I clear most of this level, then my game crashed.
I resumed the game and miscast Tornado twice, while the monsters were tormenting me. I had to cast controlled blink and revivification to survive.
The loot is good, but there's nothing I want here.
Tornado is much better than Fire Storm. And Fire Storm is grossly overpowered. If you want an easy win in 0.8, then play an air elementalist.
Something apparently cast Malign Gateway. The eldritch tentacle didn't survive for long.
Dik-Dik is so powerful that nothing here has any real chance of killing him.
Nothing TSO does could bother us at this point.
This is the 2nd time Crawl crashed!
I'm having difficulty continuing...
Crawl crashed several times before I was able to clear this level.
Same problem as the previous level.
Crawl won't stop crashing. I'm going to leave this place soon.
Look at that beautiful massacre. It was almost worth putting up with the constant crashes... Not really.
I tried to clear this level, but it crashed too often, so I left.
The hell? What are these bushes made of? Steel? Tornado failed to destroy most of them for some reason.
Time to win.
Honestly. We're practically invincible. Everyone should know better than to mess with us.
Dik-Dik's adventure has finally come to an end. It was a pretty dull game. I'm surprised I wasted so much time messing around. This is definitely my slowest win. Oh well.
