Presumably because Katanas are fast and very damaging? Having played a very small amount of Crawl, I've noticed none of the long blades at the top of the dungeon have such a low attack delay or high damage.

Also, Katanas are badass.

True, but it seems it gets made into a different weapon. Maybe it's just renamed.

Also, Feelgood, do you have any advise for dealing with a ghost of one of your selves that got brutally murdered by Terence, and love casting mephetic cloud?

That is one kickass weapon. But why is holy-ifying a katana better than holy-ifying any other long blade?

Katana are bonderline overpowered. They're only balanced by rarity, like Pearl dragon armour.

A plain katana deals more damage than every other one-handed, blessed long blade (except a holy eudemon blade and double sword). And a katana swings much faster than all of them.

Blessing a katana increases its base damage by 1 and decreases its accuracy by 1.

If you can't defeat your ghost, then you should probably flee the level. You can return to kill it later if you want, and if you happen die on another level your ghost is gone for good.

Yay for Nemlex!

Is the difference between plain ornate and legendary just in the effect's strength of a card drawn, or are the cards you draw from different pools?

Strength, mainly. I think you get better cards as well with legendary.

The Elven Halls are NOT to be taken lightly. There are demonologists and other nasty things on the first level.

So both? Neat. Remind me to try him out if I ever survive long enough to reach the point where I can join him. >_> <_<

Also, how do you do that religion screen thingie?
EDIT: Damn. The devs of .7 were asses. I could probably grab a few rocks but....

Level 3 VpAr, in d:2, and they made a gag of a a range of melee demons surrounded by lava. It goes up to second rank Beasts. Those asses weren't even kind enough to give me a few dozen darts so I could victory dance my way to over 9000 levels in my skills.

EDIT2: Turns out, after waiting for them to move for ages, it was an alter to Malk. Still, I'm having fun trying to pick off that lemure.

Tune out for a couple days. Feelgood drops Trog, TSO, and then gets Nemelex.

TIME TO READ EVERYTHING.

The only differences between them is card power, iirc.

Shuffle only appears in ornate+ decks of Wonders. So there.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

I couldn't help but double take at "I killed and ate the minotaur". I just not used to crawl yet is all.

Also, I've learned from experience that minotaurs make batshit OP berserkers.

Yeah, a basic photobucket account is not the best thing to use if you're posting a large amount of images on a highly-trafficked site.
