Normally, I'd be trying to get back to where I was originally (before falling down the shaft) asap, but this place is easy. I decided to stop by a potion shop.
I brought almost everything, except the invisibility potions.
These are called enhancer staves. A staff of conjuration enhances the power of conjurations, a staff of air enhances the power of air spells, etc.
There are five kinds of staves:
* Energy (we've seen it already)
* Wizardry (reduces spell failure chances)
* Power (grants extra MP)
* Channeling (Evoke to convert food into MP)
* Enhancer (along with the effect already mentioned, they often grant thematic melee powers and resistances)
I got banished for trying to get more piety. Oh well, it's not like this place is dangerous to us...
We finally get a legendary deck (of dungeons)! I'll use it when we return to the dungeon.
Any demon with "
Fiend" in its name is a greater demon and all fiends can cast torment! Pit Fiends aren't as dangerous as regular fiends, but you shouldn't take them lightly. Pit Fiends focus on high melee damage, but they're slow. They can cast hellfire and symbol of torment. Both are brutal, irresistible high damage spells.
Torment reduces your HP by half and Hellfire comes in two flavors: Hellfire burst, which is like smiting x3. And regular hellfire, which deals more than twice the damage of hellfire burst, but requires a clear path.
I ran from the Pit Fiend, but I encountered a lich nearby.
Liches are powerful endgame (undead) spell casters who can cast a random assortment of dangerous spells, such as paralyze, summon greater demon, crystal spear, banishment, and orb of destruction.
After running and teleporting I found the exit! Time to create a portal in the Lair!
This is why you shouldn't draw cards near your stash. Alistair's Intoxication is a good spell to use with a water card.
The friendly monster next to me is a crystal golem. They're like all golems: slow, but tough. Anyway, I created a portal to labyrinth!
A gateway to an intricate maze designed by subtle and malicious minds, its exit guarded by a fearsome monster. Many a helpless adventurer has lost his way in the twisted, shifting passages, and starved to death.
A labyrinth is a maze, which can be entered through a portal randomly generated in the Dungeon (or by a high power Trowel card).
If you hear the the ticking of a distant clock or a distant snort, your level has a labyrinth portal.
You must navigate ever-shifting passages to the center of the maze. At the center is the only exit with a pile of loot, which is guarded by a Minotaur. The main dangerous of this place is starvation, so bring some permafood with you.
Rock walls mean that you are far from the exit. Stone walls mean that you are closer. And metal walls mean that the exit is nearby. I just stick to one side and follow it, until I find something. It usually takes me a few minutes to find the exit.
I found these items nearby.
I found the exit. Minotaurs hit hard, but we can easily handle them.
I killed and ate the minotaur. The loot is kinda mediocre. Let's get out of here.
I received a legendary deck of summoning for sacrificing some of the loot.
