Plague? Surprise capture of one of your big cities? Rebellion?

Wow, I reread that list, realized this was considered normal, and realized how awesome that is.

The Mongols arrived very early and took your treasury.

Fiscal mismanagement resulted in your army getting so big that upkeep took all of your money and now you have to take a city to start making money again.

Where to begin.

It was in 5 turns I couldn't stand to do the full 8 like I was planning.  Let's start off with I was in the province of Antioch when half my army left because I wasn't making enough progress to Antioch (screw them by the way) so I hired a bunch of mercenaries so I could actually siege the city.  I siege and win (it wasn't a pretty win, but hell if I care, the army was 80% merc by the end of the day).  And proceed to execute the city so I can disband a bunch of the crusader units without risking the city rebelling.  I probably should have looted, but I figured it was in Istvan's character anyhow so who cares.

The Holy Roman Empire threatens Budapest so I hire up a bunch of units and send a general that Elek adopted over there to do his thing.

The king gets defeated in the siege despite a massive number advantage ((seriously it was so big I just auto'ed it so I regret doing that))  I have to recruit more guys in Venice so the city isn't defenseless and doesn't rebel despite the thousands of spies the HRE is throwing at it.

That all happened in one turn.

Next turn.  -1386 florins.  I click on it to see my projected treasury for the turn after, -5,360 florins.  I can honestly say I've never been this deep in shit before.  Quickly I begin slashing my armies everywhere.  I realize it's not helping nearly enough.  As I'm still projected at -3,000 florins.  I get rid of every crusading unit leaving Antioch pitifully defenseless without even a castle nearby to soak up any potential attacks, I manage to get it down to -2,000 florins projected.  Next turn

Turks attack Antioch.  Next turn

Venice attacks Venice and HRE attacks Budapest.  Next Turn

I manage to keep Venice but lose Budapest.  Zagreb is undersiege, I realize it's pointless because I don't have enough money (like I have -2,400 Florins) to restock my forces.

What's really odd is I've NEVER been beaten like this before.  The only time I've actually had trouble before this was when I had 30 provinces and not enough generals to spread around to defeat all the rebels that were popping up like crazy.  It must be because I'm doing an LP and the game wants to make me look foolish >.>  <.<

I'm so sorry, but I don't think I can stand to play through the rest of this, it's just going to be a long slide into nothingness.

I can do that, but I will be playing much, MUCH, more conservatively like I usually do, meaning there will be much less to read about.  Of course I could just do a lot longer turns to make up for this fact.  I'll do a poll to see what people want to see me play as.

Actually, would you like to me to do Crusades, or Americas?  They're amazing expansions, especially playing as Jerusalem in Crusades, that's just fun.

I know you were, but I think I would have more things to write about in the Crusades expansion.  I chose the factions specifically based on what I thought I would be able to make interesting and exciting for you, the viewer.  Feel free to choose any of the listed ones you like.
