it is offline co-op through system link. I agree they should have clarified the need for a system link.

Aye. I just assumed because system link was on the box as well as co-op. It really did seem like it was separate.

Ah well, i'm kinda glad it was my friend who paid and not me now. We'll just wait for gears to come out and co-op that.

Could be some modding going on too.  I haven't actually finished the game, but a friend of mine was doing his second playthrough and commented that the game will match him up with other people in the same place in the story....irrespective of level.  So he was running around 1-kicking zombies for 200+ damage.

Have you played as Sam B? He can uppercut zombies and humans, instantly knock them down, and then he koopa stomps then. So to summarize him at the endgame...

"Who do you voodoo, bitch?"
