not fixed. Hear it is actually more problematic right now. Typical with week 1 releases it seems these days.

Yeah... typical...

I think it is rather atypical that they actually gave the wrong game out week 1.

you have to either delete and redownload the game or verify your files integrity. This is because they put the steam version up @51 mins ago.

It checks out when I verify it... The game just doesn't work properly at all now.

I'm still waiting for Friday for the game to unlock for me (Australia). I am on a tight bandwidth budget, and I pre-loaded the game earlier in the week, which took up a nice chunk of my monthly quota.

I noticed this morning before work that Steam started downloading a 70mb patch. I will be extremely disappointed if I have to re-download the whole game because of that mistake, I can't really afford to download the game again this month.

I hope this is not the case, can anyone confirm whether you need to redownload or not?

Now I'm glad that I decided against pre-ordering <_<;

I hope you guys get your game on soon. Despite my earlier reservations, the video series I posted actually makes it look pretty fun. I'm looking forward to some Bay Watcher's review.

I have recently taken to pre-ordering games, after never having preordered anything in my life. A recent string of disappointments has really made me reconsider pre-ordering things now.

Edit: At least Deus Ex was worth it!

The only thing I've pre-ordered so far has been DX:HR. I was quite pleased with that, but I still think one has to be careful with pre-ordering. I also only put in that pre-order 2 days before it released. Up until then, I've specifically avoided pre-ordering since one tends to get either buggy games or just bad games, and to pay a ton of money for them as well. Steam had DX:HR $5 off during pre-order, however, and I already knew I was going to get it sooner or later (and I doubted I'd see any sales on it any time soon).

Dear god this game has the worst use of bloom I have ever seen in a video game. and no toggle to turn it off.

I played a few hours of this. Just got the truck.

It's very atmospheric and quite tense. The fact that I'm limited to melee makes it quite fearsome to fight off zombies. It's not like L4D2 where you can swing endlessly either. The stamina system makes it far more deliberate.

I think it's quite nice, what I've seen so far. What I've seen also makes it extremely geared for co-op. I really think the game wants you to play this Co-op and not solo.

Co-op ain't bad if its easy to get in and out of...  without getting hit by loading screen after loading screen...

Also, L4D2, you can't melee forever, there is a hidden stamina thing where you melee enough times/infected, your swings start to get sluggish and then stop.  I think this change may have been patched in some time ago... or it just only applies in Versus and Advanced/Expert mode.

Meh, at least it has a cooldown.  (I suck at the melee weapons.)
