It does mention co-op so it's a possiblity. And fighting the same oponents can be fun for a long time if done right, they can use the enviroment or special circumstances to spice it up a bit.

-No advanced NPC interaction apparently, preview mentions "no Fallout-like dialogues".
You're wrong.
It is only stated that the game will not feature such moral dilemmas or choices&consequences as in Fallout or Dragon Age.

About the screenshots with the straight jacket man = If you look closely there are people in prisoner jump suits behind him, so it's probably a prisoner transport that's got waylaid by zombies.

@Cthulhu
It's not primarily single player oriented. If you would read and understand the Polygamia article, it is actually written there that the game is heavily Co-op oriented and built around this system, with drop in drop out system and the like.

Well, that's what I understand by no moral dilemmas or C&C. Without those people tend to feel like quest/info dispensers more than anything. The extra touch of being good or selfish in dialogue makes quite a bit of difference in the realm of character interaction. Not sure how character interaction could be enriched without either of those.

And as far as singleplayer versus co-op orientation goes, it's clearly not as co-op oriented as, say, Left 4 Dead. Otherwise you'd be dead before anyone managed to reach the area your character is standing at and drop into your game. So I think it's safe to assume you could play through the entire game alone if no one dropped in.

That has to be the single most depressing game trailer I have ever seen. SAD FACE!

Also, I hate cgi trailers. They are completely pointless when they are for games. Give me a gameplay trailer and Ill get excited. :(

CGI stands for computer generated imagery.  In other words, any imagery generated with a computer.  Gameplay trailers are by definition CGI.

Unless they shoot real locations with real actors without any CGI in them. There are game trailers like that.

I don't care for trailers myself and only bother watching the gameplay, but that trailer was really well done in my opinion. It certainly got my interest where every other trailer ever had failed.

Well, CGI trailers would be fine.... if it was like the L4D opening movie thing.  It showed you how to play and what to look for, while still being anchored to game reality.

It is better to think of Trailers as self-contained rather then related to the game it comes from.

If they just show a bunch of live action videos with no CGI  and no gameplay then it's not a gameplay trailer... ::)

Well yeah, if you want to get technical. You know what I mean. CGI trailers, like this one, dont really give you an idea on how the game is. This game could be a damned tower defense (not saying it is). Trailers like these mean nothing. Gameplay trailers are where its at.

This. I am never impressed or enthused by a prerendered cutscene trailer. Fine if the game has them during play, but if you're going to make a trailer at least show what the GAME ITSELF is all about, not some pointless text slogan on black background interspersed with prerendered scenes to try and make it seem like a goddamn movie preview. It's not a movie, it's a game; a trailer should reflect the product its advertising.

I think people just liked the trailer for its composition. I did.

The best part about the reverse is that the end (being the start) makes the father look like he is saying goodbye to his daughter.

My only issue with this trailer is they OBVIOUSLY animated it backwards instead of animating it forwards and then rewinding it. Dx

It's awesome other than that but once you look at the animations and realise how the majority of them look line forward animations it kinda... Ruins it. :(

Really? I mean... really?

Then I guess it's a good thing I don't know anything about animation, because the trailer was awesome as it is!
