hmmmm...
What about A food based flavor?
How would that work?
and what kind of game mechanic would it go with?
Vanilla (Mountainous) Mafia game with ice cream flavor. (Lotsa puns!)

How 'bout a Freaky Friday- mafia? Everybody gets to be somebody else, 'cept for the mafia, who's behind it all. Kill the mafia to reclaim your original bodies!

The only real way to play it is if everyone would make an alt account for that game specificly XD

But then it would be broken I bet...
Everyone would know who is them so that would be atleast another townie confirmed besides your self...

Ya, you'd have one confirmed townie, but try to convince someone that they are, without looking like it's buddying.

When I'm writing some flavor for my players, I give sometimes url's to youtube with appropriate soundtrack from anything that is climatic and connects neatly with text. Mostly from games, yeah. If used sparingly, it can enchance flavour neatly.

oooh thats a nice point there you have darvi!

Okay what about this kind of flavor...

Did any of you see The Thing?

That has the ability to be a killer flavor doesn't it?
The {#} of you are just simple researchers, holed up in the anus of the earth, Antarctica,
{6-3} days ago your group discovers an unidentifiable "Thing", Frozen in a abandoned facility 50 miles from your base of operations.
You decide to study it in the lab, After thawing it out of course...
Wait... where did it g-~AHHRRGHH
You are now a group of {#-1} simple researchers... Holed up in for the late winter.... with a "Thing"

Damn that sounds sweet!

Alright lets discuss players adding flavor in a game...
is it a good thing for them to do it or bad?

Depends on how it's done. If the game has a lot of flavor anyway it can be great. Check out some of the earlier Paranormals. NUKE9.13 had some hilarious entries as the Town Reporter.

However, you have to be careful, since it can also look like you're trying to draw attention away from what you're saying by using flavor.

Well, Mephansteras is planning an RP game, so we'll see how that goes.

True. Although that'll be mandatory flavor for everyone so it's a bit different from some people using flavor and most people avoiding it.

I always write from the point of view of the person getting the PM.

Ah but what about when you are posting on the thread in flavor?

All I have really read of your work so far is Super natural rp that's going on now...

Do you take the place of an npc when you post flavor?

Not usually. Normally I do something as sort of a generic global 'you' town flavor with some individual actions. End flavor gets more specific, usually with everyone still alive getting mentioned.

I suggest reading up on some of the previous Supernatural and Paranormal games. Lots of examples of flavor there, since I post all the Role Pms and Night Actions once a game is done.

hmm...

Would you say that forced actions of the players would fall under the realm of tyrannical bastard moad?

Could that be acceptable to an extent, Such as:

Person A found Person 1 Strangled by his own eyebrows...
Fortunatly Person~ wittnessed the event,
But alas, He was found in the foyer, missing a face, and a spine.
