I practice tracking, and attempt to keep us away from anything large. (See that pile of disturbed leaves? ..... I'm gonna kick it.)

I would like to join, if it isn't too late.

Name: Kenwashi Nokami
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Starting Objecticon: Full Daisho. (Ancestral Katana/Wakizashi combination if that's alright. If not, then just the Katana.)

To get catching up out of the way, and to take care of my actions for he next few turns if I am in, I visit the store and buy a bracer, after which I return home and tell my parents I'm leaving, go to the lab to get my book, and start sprinting to get caught up with the rest of the party.

The walk to Burance is uneventful, tall grass rustling only to disgorge a frightened bird or tiny mouse.
The path is almost completely bare, save for a few signs reading "<-Leaflet | Burance->" at regular intervals.
At about the halfway mark you come across a house, with an old man sitting on the porch. He wears a black leather jacket, adorned with a preposterous number of chains, and bright yellow sunglasses in an unfamiliar style.
This part of the path is even more overgrown than the others, but strangely seems to lack any sort of wildlife.

You are near Methuselah's House. Danger: None.

Talk to him. It would be rude to just ignore him. See if hew has anything interesting to say, or any advice, items, quests, or the like.

Play an old rock song in my head at the sight of him and follow the others.

The group approaches the strange man, and he straightens up in his chair.

Nat: "Hello."
Old Man: "Well hey there, kid. Let me guess, you're all out here on the way to Burance to get a Boss Pin, right?"
His voice is rough, but not unpleasant. You can't see his eyes through the glasses, but by the position of his eyebrows it's obvious he has an Old Man Frown, the kind that could cut steel at twenty yards.

Furtuka: "Yeah, how'd you know?"
Old Man: "Oh, kids like you come through every year at about this time. Hell, I did the same when I was your age. I suppose you'd be wanting adventurer's quests and the like, huh?"
Nirur: "If it's not too much to ask."

He slumps back down for a moment, looking lost in thought.
Old Man: "Tell you what, I have a friend in Burance that borrowed one of my Objecticon a while back. Old men like us don't travel too often, so if you go there and it back here, I'll give you a reward. Sound fair?"

You are near Methuselah's House. Danger: None.
