Wallace and Kaguro turn to run.
It is then that Kaguro remembers a piece of advice from his lost father: "Son, never try to outrun a bear. It's just not a very good idea."
Well, if he can't outrun the bear, he'll outrun Wallace.
Wallace stumbles over Kaguro's outstretched leg, and tumbles to the ground! Kaguro continues swiftly hobbling in the direction of town.

With the creature bearing down on him, Wallace releases his Objecticon!
The turtle materializes directly in front of the enemy, with the lobster just behind!

Nirur and Nat turn to run, while Furtuka springs up the nearest tree!

From his higher viewpoint, Furtuka can see the giant making its way through the sparce trees!
It is a gigantic lion, easily large enough to swallow a normal lion whole. The fur covering its back seems insubstantial, and flickers as it moves.
It approaches his tree, but continues on. Furtuka can see feathers and blood coating its jaws. It's probably just made one or more kills, and is defending the meal.

Nirur and Nat are quickly moving towards Burance.

Western Group (Wallace and Kaguro) are west of Burance, surrounded by grassy fields. Eastern Group (Nirur, Nat, and Furtuka) are east of Burance, near the forest.

I jump my way through the trees forwards the town like a forest person, using my Pencilsnake as an improvised rope/whip to aid me

It's right behind me!!! Run in terror until I find Dan, at which point I'll probably collapse.

He's been inactive since Wednesday. I sent him a PM, if he doesn't show for a few more days I'll run the turn without him.

I join my companions in flight.

Furtuka quietly releases his snake, and tries to grapple his way from tree to tree.
The trees are fairly spaced out here, but he gets thirty or fourty meters before reaching the ground.
The lion has gone back into the denser trees, and Furtuka moves quickly toward Burance.

Nirur and Nat reach town. Nirur sprints off towards the Dojo with Nat behind, looking for Dan.
Heading into the building, they notice that the center is mostly empty, with only Dan, several Objecticon, and someone around their own age.
The person looks beaten, and holds a large flaming shield between himself and the Objecticon menacing him.

Wallace and his Objecticon attack!
The turtle charges, and the bear is driven back while the lobster circles behind!
The turtle unleashes an electric attack, but is seems ineffective! Going on the offensive, the enemy slashes at the turtle with dull razor claws, scratching the shell.
The lobster attacks its legs, but the bear kicks at it and sends it sprawling!

Kaguro continues towards town putting the battle behind him, and reaches the outskirts.

Western Group (Wallace and Kaguro) are west of Burance, near Burance. Eastern Group (Nirur, Nat) are in the Burance Dojo. Furtuka is east of Burance, near Burance.
