lookin awesome. are you planin to make veins of copper available? surface ores, atleast
No metals. Far too overpowered for the simplicity that I want this mod to be. Back to basics, with leather and wood.
I can make you a graphics set when I have some time today.
Also diggable surface ores sound like fun. Also, meteoric iron, as rare soil deposits?
P.S. It starts to look like a more serious "kobold camp", and I greatly enjoy it. Did you think about leather/cloth beds (as hammocks/bedrolls)?
There is a minority (or majority?) of people who enjoy graphic sets, and I havn't dabbled in such before, so that would be greatly appreciated, as an alernative version!
No Metals.
I love these above-ground villages moreso than underground settlements by far, far more challenging to get defences up.
You can make leather/cloth beds...? Would that be through reactions? Sounds interesting.
Also, replace gems with fossils, so they would be rare bone decorations (and probably fuel).
Gems are pretty much unreachable anyway. You can't dig through rock. I'll replace it with something pretty though, for the rare outcrop.
By the way, did you leave pottery in? It was widely used at that time period. Also I feel that beekeeping should be in too, it was one of the ancient food gathering methods, and it's fun.
I actually havn't had a chance to play with the new version's features yet! I've been modding constantly, so, I'll possibly keep those in, after I've had a play with vanilla.
Will this be adventure mode compatible? So we can have awsome Mesolithic heros? (Or mass murderers!)
Yes... Eventually. Right now you can walk through the village, equipped with a bow, spear and such, dressed in simple leather/wool clothing. Choke people in their sleep. Hunt birds and game with a bow, in the wild, so forth.
Lots of fun. I can't wait to test out the new wildmen, though.
Is it possible to have tattoos or some kind of body paint? It would be cool to have my warriors charge into battle with all kinds of crazy tattoos.
Actually, yes, I can think of a way to do this... How to limit the material to just paint, rather than wool/leather though, will probably require its own reaction... I'll add that in later, at some point, when I create paint. From clay, likely. See Below.
History
Cave paintings drawn with red and yellow ochre, hematite, manganese oxide, and charcoal may have been made by early Homo sapiens as long as 40,000 years ago...
...Paint was made with the yolk of eggs and therefore, the substance would harden and stick onto the surface applied. Pigments were made from plants, sands, and different soil types.
...Natural pigments include various clays, calcium carbonate, mica, silicas, and talcs.
