I wonder if she was active queen, and you fulfilled the requirements for royalty, if you;d get a friendly backward freak to tear apart invaders.

I don't think that would happen; When night creatures take a spouse they kidnap them and drag them back to their lair, where they stay. The new spouse immediately becomes an enemy of their former civ, so she would have immediately been removed from power, and therefore your king/queen is probably a dwarf, and possibly a human, elf, goblin, etc... but not a night creature.

You could check of course in the civs menu.

I only have an outpost liason. I'm pretty sure my civ is dead or dying. The last caravan had a pathetic amount of stuff, barely any of what I asked for.

I imagine it as a creature whose hands and feet are attached backwards to arms and legs, while the head faces also backwards.

Such creatures are impossible to track (the pursuers always go the wrong direction), and is notoriously difficult to backstab. However, they suffer from high accident rates, being unable to see where they are going.
