Getting stuck in columns
« on: August 24, 2006, 01:59:00 pm »

I've recently noticed that when I assign some area to be decorated and tell my dwarves to place a support there, the one decorating the tile with the column plan will get stuck in the column if he was working on the floor there. This is probably the same for other impassable objects like wells and statues. This also causes a load of path finding spam. They need some kind of procedure to get out of solid tiles or atleast need to avoid plans for solid items.

Except that supports aren't actually impassable...

Oh damn. So they are. But those dwarves appeared to have gotten stuck in place. :S

So it's a different problem, then. Almost everyone's stuck with could not find path error spamming for some reason. :\

Edit: Now I know what happend. Stupid tree grew in the middle of my hallway near a bridge. :\
