It isn't working. It demands lib 2.0.0dll or something.

Should I install 2.4? That seems to be the version of python getting all the support.

I only use 2.5. It means that you have a dll conflict somewhere. The best course is to reinstall the gtk runtime environment (I think).

But, see, it doesn't want to work with just 2.5, even with the 3 PyGTK modules.  Never did when I tried it.  Not even back when you had the specific 2.5 version.
The only way I got it to work is by the All In One, which for a very specific reason installs both 2.4 and 2.5, along with the 3 PyGTK modules.  Of course, the 2.4 installation is -s, so you won't notice it, but it's there.
Hell if I know the exact reason, but my theory is that there's missing DLLs in 2.5.
This also doesn't explain those who get it working with 2.5 without the all-in-one.
Don't ask me, I'm just conveying the fact that the all-in-one works.

But as mentioned, the creator of the exe version (I forget his name and I'm not digging up all my work on digging it up again) has been gone for about 2 months now.

I said that because im-*.dll is part of GTK.

I think I solved the mystery. I was getting the same problem with the all in one, and the all in one installer (g_assert_warning not found in libglib-2.0.0.dll). This for me was caused by an old version of gtk libraries that were installed directly into my windows directory, causing python to find them first (due to the way the library path is set). The solution to the problem is to delete these libraries (lib*.dll, intl.dll,  and iconv.dll) and the windows\system32\lib\gtk directory. After that the program ran perfectly. I would recommend anyone who's having a problem after installing python 2.5 and the PyGTK modules to look in \windows\system32 to see if there's an old version of libglib hanging around in there.

Edit: If windows won't let you delete the dll files you have an application that uses gtk running (ie: pidgin). Quit it and try again.

Is there a version for linux users? I have python installed (of course) and I am running DF via wine.

Any help on running it would be greatly appreciated. I just says that Dwarf Fortress is not running. Of course I am using the 40c, so maybe that is the problem?

No linux is not supported. Running a win32 python through wine might work.

I'm still not having any luck whatsoever getting this to work. Can anyone give me a walkthrough on how to set it up or something?
