Well, what I did was get python 2.5. Then that environment thing under it. Then, I got the all in 1 module pack.. which is a link under the 0.12 download.
Uninstall EVERYTHING and just use the all in one.  That's what it's there for..  All.  in.  one.  Simple enough...

I thought it was just for the three things that went with the modules.. hah. My bad :D.

Anyways, I uninstalled it all, then installed the all in 1 and.. IT WORKED :D.
So basically, the all in one and then the 0.12-all?

Yes. Make sure that, if you installed python and such seperate, than you uninstall it first. That's why mine had messed up.

So basically, a large quote pyramid.
But yes, you'd be correct.

Oh, I do love large quote pyramids.

So, anyways, I didn't understand the instructions when I downloaded the Python (a long time ago). I downloaded 2.5 and the two things that you only needed if you got 2.4. I didn't use the crazy all in one thing. But whatever I did works, so someone else might want to try it.

There is an error in the new  version, it seems the editing of strength agiliy and toughness is bugged. Strength does nothing, agility buffs strength and toughness boosts agility.

Stats editing seems ok though so far. Ah well, i ll have to do it the old fashioned way and swim a few rivers
Those are your stats.  Skill maybe you meant to say, because skill editing works fine for me but stats work the way you described.

Yup, I have this problem as well. Changing agility in DC alters strength, changing toughness affects agility. Toughness cant be changed and if you try to put numbers in the strength field it crashes (for me it did anyway).

Cannot find entrypoint of procedure libiconv_set_relocation_prefix in dll-file iconv.dll

------------

Well this is the problem I currently have, I would'nt know how to fix this one.
Tried to get this fixed all night :(

Should someone know/guess what to do, please tell so.

I have tried:

- reinstalling several packages (tried everything on the tweak's list)
- inserting .dll files it said it missed.
- booting dwarf fortress
- not booting dwarf fortress
- booting & loading savegame

Seems like the address is off by one.  Dunno where the list is kept - otherwise I'd change it myself.

creature.py

It is actually off by 4 (sizeof(int)) and some other stats might be off too ...

Does this still work with 39d?
And while obviously I need to edit creature.py with a texteditor, I have no idea what I need to change to fix the stats thing...
Maybe a 0.13-all is in order?

Some of the .DLLs that this requires are installed by other programs and cause problems with Dwarf Companion and http://www.gimp.org/The GIMP because the installer (at least in my case) doesn't overwrite the earlier version that is missing some functions.  When a specific .DLL is mentioned to be the problem in the error message make sure the version in your system folder matches up exactly with the one that Companion wants.

It does work with the d version. From now on, minor fixes should be supported without modification of the source. As for a new release to fix the stats problem, it would be best if i checked all characteristics first, but i'm flying away soon, so it will be in a while :)

I tried doing this in addition to installing python 2.5.2, and I get the following error message when I run from a command line:

"ImportError: No module named gtk".

Any suggestions for what I'm doing wrong?

I tried removing Python and all existing GTK and installing the all-in-one.  My computer couldn't open companion because it didn't have the right program, so I installed python in addition and now I get the error message.
Did I download the wrong all-in-one?  I got from here: http://www.pygtk.org/downloads.html

In that case, your computer is screwed up.
Because the All-In-One installs Python 2.4 along with all three of the modules.
