The latest version's setMapInfo method seems to be broken. The last setShort should probably set to the value of temp, not occu. getMapInfo should probably also return the temperature so it can be fed into setMapInfo to hold it constant.

What does this error mean:

[python.exe - entry point not found]

The procedure entry point g_timeout_add_seconds_full could not be found in the dynamic link library libglib-2.0-0.dll

I'm having trouble resurrecting dead dwarves. I click off the two 'dead' toggles, heal them, but they instantly bleed to death anyway. What am I missing?

Do you have the right version of all required libraries installed?
Do you have a file with that name (libglib-2.0-0.dll) in your Windows\system32 directory?  If so, add .old to the end of the filename and see if that clears it up.

@ikkonoishi: I'm puzzled by your post.  The links were pointing at the wrong files when I made my post, and I can see you made edit to fix it.  I'm glad you made the fix, but the tone of your post seems to indicate that I gave bad advice rather then you fixed the root of the problem.  What gives? http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php?title=User:Bartavelle/DwarfCompanion&action=history

Sorry if you took it as criticism. I was just pointing out another possible mistake he had made since as it was set up anyone who followed the directions on the wiki page would get the same problem. (I know I was.)

The compiled DC is great though.

No worries, I just couldn't tell the inflection.  Reading it again I see what you meant.  I thought you were saying "It pointed at the right thing when I checked it 10 seconds ago, so he could have just done that to fix his problem".  I should have thunk the meaning through a bit more..

I can't use the complied version myself since I'm still Win2k, so I had to go through all the steps of installing the stuff and then commenting out the line I mentioned a few posts ago.  Then it worked!  (It'd be nice for an OS check, I don't know if Python can tell the difference between NT, 2000, XP & Vista however.)

@Steelgeek:  Wild guess: is the dwarf missing limbs, bleeding or both?

Would anyone know how to turn say a kobold theif or goblin invaders into fully functional workers and members of the fortress. I've managed to make a kobold count as a tame animal but I couldn't assign any work, only butcher him.

Just had another try at installing DC and WOOHOO it works with 38c!
Only thing is, is that it lists dwarves as drowsy who aren't actually drowsy. Memory adress must have changed.

Only click off the one that says Dead? and he'll stay alive for whatever reason.
I believe it's on the bottom row.
Not sure how you'll be able to get him back to working, though.

I doubt you can make him work..  although you can probably chain him to your entrance and he'll defend your place against his own kind/evil kobolds/megabeasts...

Hi there. I've been using DC, but when I set a Dwarf's mood to Fey, Secretive, Or Possessed, he doesn't claim a workshop or anything. He just runs about.
