After seeing the plethora of "Worst things you've ever done" topics I think it's about time to have a thread about people doing good in Dwarf Fortress.

Currently I'm on a quest to rid an entire world of all mega-beasts, not very impressive, but still...

I remember that in one of Jefmajor's Let's Plays he saved an enslaved little girl from a dark tower and took her back to her parents.

So has anyone else ever done any good?

Just killed a asshole Sylvan elf to save a fellow Centaur companion. Imagine, a Sylvan elf, his bow raised, ready to send the death kill, groans and collapses, as he notices a diamond embedded into his head...

My previous adventurer, a goblin by the name of Stozu, made a habit out of killing outlaws, night monsters, and the occasional underworld denizen, but that's not so much heroic as it is doing her job.

That's pretty much the extent of my heroics, unfortunately. Though one time I did have her dive into a river to save one of her two followers. That... didn't end up being all that heroic, since I fled the scene once it became clear that both my companions were going to die. I was hoping one of them would follow me when I zoned away, but neither did.

I don't think I've ever done anything particularly heroic per se. I mean, yeah I've killed night creatures, megabeasts, etc, but who hasn't? Who doesn't?

I did once did !!SCIENCE!! concerning the development of a new Adventure Mode fashion trend. It would have been revolutionary!

A lot of elves died.

I once stood over my friends corpses and killed all of our attackers.. Burning the ones who killed my friends. Thats about it though... Oh and i brought their corpses back to their hometowns.

hmm between going on journeys and taking down a titan with my .17 Kogan the Bronze I'll have to come back to this I have to do something stupidly evil then kill that guy.

Weren't dark towers innaccesible/invisible/not implemented?, you know like other dwarven and elven settlements.

I saved a completely paralyzed boogyman from being eaten by a jaguar...

while I was strangling it.

Started a RED Heavy, dedicated to removing the threat of all other living things. He ran around beating the shit outta bogeymen, knocking them down, grabbing their head, and pinching it, causing it to pop. He even passed out in a group of about 10 and lasted untill mornin when they dissapeared. He died while trying to kill a horde of survivors, who stabbed for day after day, untill he finally bleed to death.

I occasionally give my companions viking funerals, as in I burn their corpses. I also rescue goblin prisoners... yeah, I don't do heroic.

Single handedly reclaimed my ruined desert fortress from hordes of demons with my Illithid character (genesis) then retired there, started the fortress again and he it was a noble.
