Anything can lay eggs if tagged only slightly.

So, with eggs and grazing here, could we do something like taming a bronze colossus, feed it rocks and get bronze (eggs) out of it?

And create a grass that grows on a specific rock type? So, bronze colossus feeds on granite grass, lays bronze eggs?

Aaaaand has anyone modded in a goose caste that lays golden eggs yet? Because that should totally be on The List Of Things To Do With Eggs. Right after the explodey ones.

Oh, crap.  Don't tell me someone is going to change nest boxes to toilets and eggs to poop and take care of one of the old ESV items that way....

Of course, then when the kobolds (and wild animals) run to your nest boxes toilets and get themselves caught, it'll be even more hillarious.

So from what I can see in the raws, tools from cstom reactions work now, also kilns. Do we know if every standard workshop works for custon reactions now?

I found out that DF does not like it when you mod in chickens which lay bars of iron as eggs. It crashes.

Question 1: What is this? Is this some analogue of REACTION_CLASS? Or it is just a reagent-name-like comment? I thought reagent list required naming like A, B, C, etc.

By the way.. what is the melting point of wax?

There are a few undocumented but visible changes - there is a BLOCK_NAME tag in the ceramic raws. I haven't tested whether it works in material templates, but if it does, it should allow wood blocks to be named planks.

There are obviously the new tool uses related to the new jobs, and reactions also have a HAS_TOOL_USE tag.
Not sure yet whether there are more undocumented additions.

knight otu: i think the second undocumented addition of your post might refer to something that was intentionally left undocumented... there's no official word about it, but i'd spoiler it
