Help with Sand Please

Hi All,
I've finally tried a new industry, glass making, and it's super cool. One glass serrated disc is worth a mountain of stone mugs. Here's my problem:

I can't designate a stockpile for sandbags without getting seed bags, empty bags, etc. In future forts, I think I could use an exclusive material type for sand bags, like all silk or cloth. On top of that, sand bags are getting put in other stockpiles. I've got dwarfs running 80 z-levels to get sand and take it to the magma furnaces.

Anyone handled problems with sand stockpiling before?

If I remember correctly sand bags are placed in the furniture stockpile...
if you use a hand tailored stockpile (i.e. p -> z) you just have to forbid everything
and then press u to enable sand bags

this is what you're looking for.
making a custom stockpile won't work.
