Nice one, it's a heroes of might&magic but the world map is played in real time instead of being turn based (the battles are still turn based like in the HoMM series).
Played the tutorial that gives you 3 quests to achieve and started the adventure on the world map and so far it is pleasant.

Too bad there's no custom map or random map option like in the heroes of might&magic series as King's Bounty The Legend only has its campaign, but apparently there's randomisation in loot, enemy locations and with 3 different classes it may help replay value.

But up to where i am the story is rather mediocre and the characters aren't really charismatic, hopefully it will improve later. Combat are slow, some units really take their time to reach their position, and some exaggerated animation take too long (like the cavalry when attacking a nearby enemy will start by moving away slowly then will charge said enemy...) that for a game that will have tons of encounters i can imagine this will get on your nerves.

I still like HoMM2 and 3 much more in the same genre.

"Ghost Master" is currently free on gog

It’s a cheeky little game, quite entertaining.

It’s kind of in the vein of Dungeon Keeper in that you don’t have direct control of your ghosties, but you can tie them to certain things and give them orders.

It can get a bit tricky later on when the levels get bigger, but it’s enjoyable.

GOG emails can be unsubbed (bottom of email), and they honor that request (until you next claim a free game ).

You can also just setup a filter to stick gog emails in some folder you never see (or the trash :V). That's what I did.

You can also create a garbage email for yourself that you would only to use for "marketing" type of offer.

This week the freebie on the epic store is "Spelldrifter"
It's a CCG mixed with xcom-like turn based battles, concept that reminds me a bit of the Etherlord games.

in theory it seems a good management game :

Having played it for a bit, I agree with the statement that it gets repetitive. Lots of it is about just sending the right teams to the right places.
And then waiting for said teams to resolve everything.

this week freebies on the epic store are "Model Builder" and "Soulstice"

Model Builder seems to be a simulator in which you build those plane, helicopter, etc... model kits with plans and then paint them.
Soulstice is not a Soul-like apparently despite the name but a Devil May Cry-like
