the music during gameplay reminds me a lot of Firefly/Serenity, same type of music they used in the Rebel Galaxy game too, very relaxing.

I tried a free to play game yesterday. It's called Marvel Rivals. It's not bad and seems to have a lot of people on. It's a small team pvp game, two sides. It has capture point and push the cart modes. The balance doesn't seem terrible though the Hela character pwns my Wolverine; I'm not sure if only a bad matchup since Wolverine is slow and can't go vertical except for two of his cooldown moves, though I did see some NERF HELA threads on the Steam discussion forums too.

Today's freebie on the epic store is "Dredge"
a fishing boat game with cartoony visual and some horror twist (try to go fishing during the night).

Not bad at all, but if you were thinking about it as a fishing sim, it's not. The fishing itself is too basic : just move the boat on a fishing zone and click when the cursor hit some green area.
Nowhere near as challenge fun as those oldschool fishing games, but i guess the actual fun is in the other elements of the game (upgrade boat, equipment and the horror/exploration).

Dredge is surprisingly atmospheric, and the story is pretty good too.

Looks like today's free Epic Game is Control by Remedy Entertainment. IIRC it's about getting in gunfights with supernatural entities and using your own supernatural powers to battle them?

Someone who's actually played it can probably explain better.

They gave it away a couple of years ago already, it's a truly excellent game, very atmospheric, everything is happening inside some kind of extra dimensional place that could fit as a mix between the Twilight Zone, the SCP Foundation, those "Backrooms" stuff etc...  with strange things, stranges creatures/entities/deities getting around

I completed it at some point and really enjoyed my time with it, heavily recommended
It's supposed to happen in the same universe (well multiverse/multidimension or whatever it can be called) as the Alan Wake series, but there's no need to have played any of those games as out of a couple of text references there's no noticable link
