You might want to give [NO_EAT] and [NO_DRINK] to kobolds as well. They all starved to death in year 4 during world gen in every region I genned so far.

Now this begs for modding.

Hmm, I have a Hydra that died at year of 4, struck down by a dwarf... Then in 112, it strucks down a human.

Zombie hydra?

Also, lots of deaths from starvation by the year of 4. No kobolds survived the fateful year.

Stealing based economy is not effective enough, it seems.

Trolls with wool? I really want to see that :)

Indeed. Toady, what do you envision a troll looks like? I always thought they were humanoid and not particularly woolly.

Maybe this?

I just genned a medium world, stopped at year 104:

Quote
3: Eminocafafi Wami Fiva, "Mutegutter the Scars of Juice", cave
   Owner: Glaybis, kobolds
   Parent Civ: Baber, kobolds
   112 kobolds
5: Spibsapuwog, "Tangledgloomy", cave
   Owner: Theebus, kobolds
   Parent Civ: Stribidibralmis, kobolds
   97 kobolds
7: Bithiliwami Meli Irecu, "Shriekscarred the Murk of Trusses", cave
   Owner: Jilidrayngin, kobolds
   Parent Civ: Prokojridis, kobolds
   108 kobolds
8: Eshomavuz, "Silencemine", cave
   Owner: Thrasraylmin, kobolds
   Parent Civ: Krigilisteemus, kobolds
   120 kobolds

My kobolds are alive and well.

Anyone have any idea why goblins don't have to eat or drink anymore?

I was getting kinda worried, but you have brought forth the goods once more. ALL GLORY TO THE TOAD!

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.
