Now I have this EPIC Waterfall, which is a Major river (fed from the West and a Small Stream above it feeding another Waterfall into it) which falls into another MAJOR River that curls around a hill a few Zs down. My plan is to build a Fortress which has a Military watch that extends out and around the Waterfall's well fall, and watches over the Major river below where I plan to build small ships and such (linked via bridges and attached to the worlds end) and have it so that it is a Major Port for a River Trade below. The thing is. I want my Main fortress itself BEHIND the waterfall, attached to the Outlook via some pipes in the wall. The thing is, I can't get the Dwarves to build the Walls and Floors needed to attach itself to the wall behind the water due to the waterfall putting water in the way....
I have tried building bridges into the area, but the Dwarves barely look long enough at the Bridges to acutally finish them, I have tried basic floor and walling, but the dwarves bounce away too quickly, heck I have even tried to do Pumps but I don't know if that took any effect to the water flow long enough to make a gap in the Fall to build in...
I just Savescummed to the start due to a few of my builders getting swept off the edge due to the fall picking them up and throwing them off the edge of the building supports...
What can I do???
