Dwarven cocktails
« on: February 15, 2011, 12:57:06 am »

I have decided to make some of the Dwarven drinks into drinkable cocktails:

DWARVEN ALE

    * 1.5 cl (three parts) Vodka
    * 1.5 cl (three parts) Tequila
    * 1.5 cl (three parts) Southern Comfort
    * 1.5 cl (three parts) Triple Sec
    * 1.5 cl (three parts) Gin
    * 2.5 cl (five parts) Lemon juice
    * 3.0 cl (six parts) Simple Syrup
    * Splash of Coke
    * Garnish with Wonka's Gummi Puckeroom

SUNSHINE

    * 2 parts (4.0 cl) Pepper Vodka
    * 1 parts (2.0 cl) Peach schnapps
    * 2 parts (4.0 cl) Orange juice
    * 2 parts (4.0 cl) Cranberry juice
    * Garnish with dried red pepper

SWAMP WHISKEY

    * 4.5 centilitres (1.6 imp fl oz; 1.5 US fl oz) Scotch whisky
    * 2.5 centilitres (0.88 imp fl oz; 0.85 US fl oz) Sweet vermouth
    * 2.5 centiliters (0.88 imp fl oz; 0.85 US fl oz) Chartreuse
    * Dash Angostura bitters
    * Garnish with black olive

More to come...

This is apparently supposed to be RL drinks named after DF drinks.  Since these call for small portions that don't fill entire barrels, I am greatly disappointed.

Unless by cl he meant a standard volume of a clown.

That would depend on if we're talking about a clown with or without large red shoes.

Of course, this is all moot, because it's not a clown without the shoes.

I'm convinced that at least some of these drinks are going to need to be garnished with mushrooms, but otherwise, good work for taking initiative on the project, OP! I may have to throw a dwarf-style party, where we all drink some of these and ignore nobles' mandates.

I'm afraid you're mistaken there.  When throwing a party, no booze is involved, just people standing around and standing on tables, looking at each other occasionally and building up social skills via osmosis.

Puckerooms:

There's also some German ones that are that kind of marshmallow gummi they use for the Krabby Patty candies:

I suppose you could use button mushrooms or something. Would be odd, I suppose.

Scale them up to fill a barrel.  Don't be an elf.

I'm not making LARP equivalents. I'm making Drinks Real People Might Drink equivalents. Of course, I understand most of you are under 18, so there you go.

By pepper vodka do you mean black pepper?
As in you take a bunch of cracked peppercorns and let them sit in vodka for a week before filtering, basically resulting in black pepper extract.
(And the best thing ever to happen to a bloody mary)

They look tasty.  Might give some a go when I restock my liquor cabinet.
