Well that's what you get when you send normal greeks to do a Spartan's job.

We're Greeks. We use phalanxes. Unless you want some Thracian mercenaries, we don't really have any swordsmen to use. Except the Spartans, though I don't think I have to say that.

Our cavalry is a little on the weak side. But I do have a squad of cavalry you can have, the best we can have. (AKA rather mediocre.)

WE'LL RUN DOWN THE COWARDS.

Seriously though, Light cavalry is good paired with missle troops.

As I said before, I'll take a squad of Cretean Archers if you can get one or some Rhodian Slingers, also if you can get them. They will fear the fact that Dangeresque kills at distance.

Got it. Just give me one second to update the Greeked list.

EDIT:

Also, the Brutii are preventing us from finally killing the Macedonians, since they just love to spam armies at Thessalonica.

At least, for now.

Greece: Total War LP: The defence of Tarentum
« Reply #148 on: March 18, 2011, 12:34:12 pm »

For Pwnzerfaust!

The sound of striding horses resounded throughout Tarentum. Taricus and his Greek lancers had just arrived at the city, just minutes before. He led his troop of Lancers throughout the city, obviously looking for something. In the city square he spotted what he was searching for. A tall, lean figure, with grey hair and the weariness of age upon his brow. But this man cut an impressive figure, old age doing nothing to hide his natural energy and skills. Taricus rode up to this man, so vibrant, yet reserved.

He hailed the man. "Pwnzerfaust, I presume?"

Pwnzerfaust, turning around, spotted Taricus. "Ah. So Demoleon has finally arrived. Has he?"

Taricus, in the face of such power and renown, began to stammer, "Err, yes, of course. In fact, he's asked for you to come and meet him."

Pwnzerfaust grunted. "If he hasn't noticed, the city is under attack right now."

Oh, woe is the womenfolk of Pontus! For despite the crushing victories inflicted by Boski, the men of Pontus still are ripped from their homes, only to be slaughtered on the field of battle.

For many years, the Romans have launched themselves at the walls of Thessalonica, and for years Farseer has defended these walls with skill, and bravery. But he knew that the Romans would keep attacking, not matter how many of their kinsfolk died upon Thessalonica's fertile fields. And thus Farseer rallied his men, and marched forward, to strike the Romans at their places of armament, so as to stop any attacks premature.

This might be useful to know, if we had any idea where the Carthaginians were.

Carthage is in north western Africa, just southwest of Sicily, unless that was sarcasm. It's hard to tell through text.
