Yeah he's a little shameless. What would Aristotle say about this?

Greece: Total War LP: Outnumbered Two to One

Hold the Line!

Our proud and noble king, Kleomenes, was besieged in Larissa. With stout hearts, his army bravely sallied forth to engage the Macedonians.

The enemy cavalry saw an weakness, and charged forth, screaming defiance at the top of their lungs.

Perhaps they should have focused on fighting instead.

The barbarians, cowards that they are, took fright, and began to leave the field.

Our brave king and his body guards boldly ran down the enemy phalanxes. The unhonorable scum of the Macedonian general left them to their fate.

The siege of Larissa was over.

Even the mountain of Etna was impressed with our power, and spewed forth scalding tides of lava, to cheer our men on.

Spoiler: Capture of Kydonia (click to show/hide)

Doubtless you remember the victories of Pwnzerfaust, in Sicily. With Lilybaeum in the hands of these barbarians, Sicily would not be safe. Pwnzerfaust quickly took action, and besieged the city.

Hmmm. If I remember correctly, the same adviser that checked for enemy agents was the same that believed in the might of Egypt.

He shall be relieved at once.

Kleomenes had reason to be proud of his son, but had to look to his own wit and skill to defend himself.

The Macedonians were outraged against such a defeat, and once more summoned an army to attack. But their weary war had sapped their manpower, and only old men and young boys were enlisted.

Kleomenes's victory was to be his last, and his death was soon after such glorious achievements.

Pwnzerfaust was Kleomenes's heir, and now the King of Sparta. With such an important ruler in the field, the Romans resolved to capture Pwnzerfaust.

The Romans knew that they couldn't defeat Pwnzerfaust. However, with the death of Kleomenes, they thought that the time was ripe to invade the Grecian homeland, and cut off Pwnzerfaust's support.

Their choice was simple. Thermon.

Right. Here's the number of people who've been dwarfed Greeked:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Abusing the Red Line of TRUTH and Impassibility, I see.

More like the Red Line of "I don't want to get swarmed". But now that we have Armoured Hoplites, this will change.

Right, time for a bit of strategy. Basically, Boksi is going to be replaced with Mister Hooty in Crete, so he can go and take the Armoured Hoplites in Sparta (Did I mention that can now produce Armoured Hoplites?) and take command of Kleomenes's army. With Armoured Hoplites, I'll start getting more aggressive, since they are as good with their swords as hastati, but with much, much more armour. Needless to say, they're more handy with their spears.

Pwnzerfaust is going to chill in Sicily till I can make an army for him to march up Italy with. That will eliminate Rome, who are currently our biggest rivals.

In the future, I hope the Boksi can defeat the Macedonians so we can start killing Pontus, propping up the Seleucid Empire. They're a barrier between us and the Egyptians, who you'll remember are quite powerful. Pwnzerfaust will probably go and thrash the Spaniards, before cleaning out the rest of the Western Mediterranean.

Any questions?

I've never played this game, but I assume Armored Hoplites are even harder to kill than regular hoplites? Let's stomp the Macedonians' shit!

Harder to kill AND better at killing, an all around upgrade to normal Hoplites that costs a little bit more.

I see I've still not be replenished. Once you've got the cash, can my mercenaries lead a force of greek against Pontus? My hope is that the victories will be heroic enough for me to join the family.

They have around 10 more points of defense (I believe.) with only a tiny increase to attack. However, they're skills with the sword are the same as the Roman's swordsmanship. In other words, they should actually be good outside of a phalanx.

Might as well. As for replenishing, it seems like your Thracian brothers have not decided to join you. Once some of them can be hired, I'll get them for you.

I suggest giving me control over two cavs and three infantry with which I shall harass the northern barbarians ( or put up a heroic defense )
