This was linked on the first page. It sounds pretty useful if you don't want to learn about Kepler's laws from Wikipedia, which is what I did.
Unless you want controls, which is basically just the numberpad.

I'm on chapter 4 of lets play in space, but it doesn't say what scenario I'm supposed to be running to do the earth to moon trip. Can any one help me find the right scenario? I know there are a few other scenarios I can use to do earth to moon, but they all have slight inconsistencies with the guide (launch window, times, ect). Thats why I'm looking for the exact file.

I think the main problem is that this excellent tutorial was created before Orbiter 2010, and there have been scenarios change meanwhile.

I edited the "ready to take off" scenario to have your deltaglider starting in the same location, at the same date and setup the MFD as it's shown in the Fly me to the moon 4 - 4 , so logically you should have the same window and timing as in the tutorial.

Just copy paste the following that is between the spoiler tags in a text document and save the change as whateverthename.scn
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Then put it in the Scenario folder of your Orbiter install, and it will appear in the scenario list

If your text editor insist in saving
whatevername.scn
 into
whatevername.scn.txt

simply right click on the file , select "Rename" and change that text file name into :
whatevername.scn

You mean you can't manually remove the .txt in the end ?
That's strange, as it never happened on my system.

1 Open text editor
2 Paste data
3 Save as type: *.*
4 Name it foobarbaz.scn

I made the file again from scratch and it seemed to work this time, I didn't do any thing different so IDK what happened the first time. Thanks! :)

Time for some justified necromancy.

I've been out of the Orbiter forum and addons loop for a while, still flying with my good old Ravenstar in Orbiter 2010 and just noticed that Orbiter 2014 has been in development since a while, and the beta can be downloaded if you want to build it from SVN :
http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=33798
someone made a video to explain how to install from svn :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgUaGYiqcLc

But from the thread, it's still buggy with some crashes and things that do not work right.
So if you're interested in Orbiter, it's recommended to stick to Orbiter 2010 .

A video (several months ago) of what's new in Orbiter 2014 (notice the terrain) :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXeG6GUUBP8

 :o

And while i'm here, i had played with a nice city + vehicles addons and recommend Orbiter players to give it a look, it's very fun :
http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=29945
Very impressive what has been done there, you have cars, buses and can have some fun in the city, the most impressive part is that i experienced no performance problem, i didn't expected the Orbiter engine was able to take on those numerous objects , but it's doing it without any problem.

A few days ago (can't believe i missed it) ORBITER 2016 has been released !
http://orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=37409

Downloads there :
http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/

will be a while before i can try it as the download of this version is gigantic (for my connection), fortunately i still have my old version, Orbiter 2010-P1 that i still use from time to time :)
