Elves and Soap

So I'm pretty new to DF. How ever a friend of mine talkes about this game all the time. He told me how the grim system on dwarves work. Also he told me that you can keep you dwarves clean by making soap for them. He's also explained that elves can only get so clean because they won't hunt animals to make lay then make soap. Well in this game elves are cannibals and they also eat other sentient beings. Well way don't they use dwarf, goblin, kobald, ect. fat to make the lay for there soap?

Elves dont like soap.

Is it because elfs are dirty tree hugging hippies?

This might get more responses in the General Discussion forum.

Elves think they sweat diamonds and piss adamantine. The vomit and blood are cleaner for having touched them.
