IIRC, running up to and opening a chest could be done in he same turn.[/2cents]

Yeah, opening two chests could be done in the same turn as well, assuming that you were the only one trying to get both of the chests.
However, if someone tried to get one of the chests, then you would only be able to open one of them.

Well, as it's "first post, first action", I was able to open both chests and get the items, correct?

I'm going to have to agree that it should take one turn to open one chest, unless nobody else is around and wants a share.

As Red and Orange race up the steps to grab a chest, Orange sinks down into the floor a bit. Odd-colored smoke from the step in front of him engulfs him in a cloud. He takes moderate damage. Orange is now Lightly wounded*.



Blue and Dark Grey enter the door to find a wheel-shaped room. There are two levers and a chest around, but the only thing within reach is one of the levers.



Red, Green, Brown, Black, Purple and Orange all head to the next floor and open a chest.

Red finds some Wristbands, which increase his defense by 1.
Green picks up a Stone vial, which, when drank, increases base defense by 1.
Brown's chest contains Attack Pills, which increase base attack by 1 when eaten.
Purple finds Sunglasses that grant Light Resistance.
Black gets a Lightning Cookie, which increases base speed by 1 when eaten.
Orange discovers a staff with no bonuses, but can be enchanted later for special abilities.

Damage will not be like the last game. There's no exact scale of how damaged you are. Unless you get a status similar to 'near death', you won't know exactly how close you are to death.

You wouldn't be able to use it as a weapon, but you could put it on something as a weight.

Suggest that blue remain where he is, then go over and pull the lever. Switch places with him if he'd prefer.

peek up ladder, making sure not to be noticed by anything potentially bad.
ask green if he wants the empty stone vial, it might come in handy.
