The Queen of "The Tongs of Nourishing" has decided that you, and 6 other dwarfs, have to go form a new settlement in "The Tin Jungles". The embark screen and the wiki The Queen says we have contacts to all nations from there, and plenty of stone.

We've finally arrived at out destination! We have plenty of trees, and flux stone, the steel industry is just waiting for us!
But even better news! I, a simple stoneworker have been chosen as the expedition leader! I have no clue why such a prestegious title would be granted on me, but I degress.

Hopefuly we will be able to get a working -- if small, working fortress into the ground by winter.

We've begun digging and tree chopping! As the miners dig out the dining hall, I'm smoothing the walls right behind them.
Being expedition leader is nice, but it's also nice to get back to what I love doing.
I plan on building a small gate outside, for as much as I hate it, attack is eminent.

Ah, whatever, but might as well continue on.

I'll probably take a year, but what kinds of animals are there? Also can I see some screenshots of what's happened, or at least where you started digging.

14 Slate, 107

With the miners almost done with the dining hall, I continue smoothing. Whe have started dumping all the stone on the top of the mountain.

So much stone, I would so like to build something out of it, but essintials first.

With the dining room carved out, we've already started on the workshop area and farm.
I love having all these dwarfs to command around, and the first seasons almost up, which means the elfs should be here any time.

We have gotten the farms flooded and workshops are being built.

I hope everyone can get all this pesky stone out of the dining hall, I can hardly walk in there!
