I'd say your marksdwarf should go into sniper school. Looks like it was a one-shot one-kill moment there.

I'm pretty sure there's a bug that makes zombie megabeasts evaporate when they're hit.  I had a chained puppy disappearify a zombie giantess, too.

I'm pretty sure there's a bug that makes zombie megabeasts evaporate when they're hit.  I had a chained puppy disappearify a zombie giantess, too.

Well that explains it I guess. I was worried about the Minotaur as I'd never seen one before. No corpse, no log, just 'deceased' on the unit list. I thought my marksdorf got extremely lucky.

Obviously, the shock of the arrow's impact ran up the nervous tissue and into the brain, causing the brain to die, which in true zombie fashion killed the minotaur.
