Get a Linux machine, ssh in from your Droid, and run DF in text mode. All the heavy lifting is done by the server but the interface is on your Droid.

Not sure why you'd want to play on such a small screen and without a full sized keyboard, but it's possible.

Is it a sign i play too much DF, that i thought of a way to use a Droid running DF as a grenade? E.g. start DF up, then while it's loading throw the Droid, once it's loaded it'll explode.

Unless the droid you are talking about is R2D2, it can't run it.

Instead of running a Linux distribution, you could use DFTerm.

Dfterm2 takes Dwarf Fortress and turns its output into ANSI/VT102 parseable data encoded with UTF-8 over Telnet protocol. On Linux, dfterm2 parses the output from Dwarf Fortress where PRINT_MODE has been set to TEXT. On Windows, the symbols are read from Dwarf Fortress memory. There's also a flash browser interface. Administrator features allow building public servers, with many Dwarf Fortresses running at the same time.

The game can be played using a Telnet client in a vt102 compliant terminal with colors, almost any platform has one.
