It's the biggest UO Shard evereverever, guess.

Neither do I, but I'm pretty sure it is MAD LOOT and, from what I've read from the forums, SLOOOOOOW SKILL GAIN unless you use Razor.

You could google UO roleplay shard.
Also, I'm sure some people on that server would like to RP.

Don't advertise private servers here, man.
Members can advertise shards and private servers here all they want. This is not the first one that has been spoken about and wont be the last. Toady has never said a word against it, so don't go telling people what they can or cannot post.

The only explicit rule toady has ever posted here was to not link to warez.

It's not an RP shard or a PVP shard.

It's a UO shard which means do what you want. I plan on rping a dwarf or pirate (maybe a DWARF PIRATE) once I get a mule made so I have a bit of gold set aside.

This is a IMPRESSIVE ultima online shard.

It has 800+ online, yet I don't see house on house. The countryside is wild, the cities are tame (you can actually become a citizen and build homes in towns).

The amount of polite players is impressive. I mean, the town centers are FULL of characters, and  I yet to see anyone making anything stupid or lame. One guy picked up my ore with his autoloot script, and he gave it back and said sorry. That's not something you see too often :).

Also the world is in a perfect balance, at least from the first glance. The skill progression is NOT slow. You were probably spoiled by lots of "newbie friendly" shards which attracted people by "fast skills". There you could become a grandmaster in a week... But there's no fun in that.

Here I leveled from 0 to 45 in a few hours, then it's noticeable slower. I think it takes around month or two to level your class you want to a master/gm level, and I am perfectly glad it's like it. The world is populated by many mediocre players which use low tier armor, so the economy is player-driven, not loot-driven only. It looks like an awesome shard, let's see how it rolls.

There are a few houses but it's from large guilds that created all of the characters they possibly could and then used that money to buy a house and guildstone.

Cheap? Hell yes.
But that's life and if we were organized enough here we could have done it as well.

You will not GM a crafting skill with out a guild to back you up with resources. Yep that sucks but it will hopefully keep the player economy alive somewhat since every one won't be able to macro up a GM crafting mule over a week. You might have to actually *gasp* interact with other people once more, shocking.

It's not going to be for everyone but the fun and action is already there if you want it.
And I want it.

What do you mean by "that money"? The starting gold is not droppable.

It was droppable until they realized what people who were organized could do with it. Guess they patched it last night.

Yep, the game was just launched 24 hours ago, it's brand new.
