That's where the "social" element really comes into play. The healthiest thing to do is to be around others anyways.

Calling someone a fake is one thing. Calling someone a piece of human trash and a lesser being is something else completely.

I was thinking more along the lines of this legendary champion, all clad in dented and dinged up steel plate, his blood-drenched axe slung over his back, a notch in the handle for every enemy that saw the swing of that blade as the last sight they ever saw, a battered shield strapped over his arm... and a fluffy, pink stuffed hippo hidden discretely in his breastplate.

Demand submission rather than walk away.  How noble.

Just drop it.  If you're really that pissed about it, walk away.  Literally step away from the PC and do something else for a while to calm down.

Practice discretion when dealing with people. Don't let your emotions rule your words, and accept moral losses when they mean long term victories. Making a stand is rarely the right thing to do, even if you're sure you're right.

I want him to apologise for calling me a fake, derailing my thread, and ruining my entire day. If he can't man up and accept he is in the wrong, then he IS a piece of human trash.

If I could control reality I would change things so that teenagers were capable of accurate self-assessment.
