The past year had been very turbulent for the city of Ljus Faller. Both thte council of 12 and Feta had been imprisoned, and the council of twelve was dissolved. When the military seized control, they declared the Allegro, the head of the First spearmen, to be the general, and gave him ultimate authority over the army. They formed the senate, and said that it was more fair then the previous council of twelve, because it would change in composition over time, unlike the council which just cycled between the same old men.
While feta languished in his cell, his best apprentice, Frank became the new chief explorer.

Lucien: Lucien regenerated at the start of the new age, now he no longer has a peg-leg, but is still head of the hall of learning.
Feta: Explorer and all around celebrity within the community. Ex-explorer, he is now imprisoned.
Council of 12/Village Elders: The council of 12 is composed of the 11 oldest people who have had at least 30 years since their last regeneration, and one honorary member who has to have had at least 30 years since his last regeneration.The old leaders of the city. They were imprisoned, then let out within a few months.

  With the ascension of Queen Vaea, the age of nobles has begun. Superficially merely the best of the best, their status as clearly second only to the queen has given these individuals trappings of power and authority not truly seen before- unlike the tribal leaders of old, their dominion is over aspects or regions of the whole city, though some claim guild or professional ties not totally unlike those of a tribal chieftain.
  Vaea, for her part, wastes no time preparing her city for greatness, while ingratiating herself with a new emergent power. Some worry that she lacks the vision her father seems to have, but she perhaps better represents the decadent wishes of the people, and Vael's support gives her an extra measure of credibility. Furthermore, the emergence of nobles makes her own inexperience, and at times disinterest, less problematic, as she can simply defer to others' judgement. She does just this with her brother Talon, an aptly named warrior who seeks to embrace his father's more militant pursuits. Properly equipped city guards are the first order of business, while his namesakes explore up the river.
  Vaeladin, meanwhile, emerges to fulfill the people's desire for greater glory. Though some consider him scheming or otherwise off, few can discount his skill at design, and he quickly attains power in a place where everything must be designed and built by someone.

The new military rulers, seeing the combat potential of the hunting bows that were being designed prior to their coup, have that research finished. It was nearly done, and is completed quickly. The next project, a way of recording words on animal hides or clay tablets, is rather more involved. The pictograms the researchers have been working with seems workable, in principle, but the number of symbols that would be required is daunting.
Meanwhile, Frank's exploration to the east is uneventful, and, other than a bit of confusion when a fishing village is almost built in the mountains, construction in town goes smoothly.

Queen Vaea proves to be a capable ruler in buisness, if nothing else. Her financial savvy helps the city claim quite a bit of tax money that might otherwise have been... misplaced. Vaeladin's workshop is completed in short order, and Vaeladin promptly produces several suggestions on how the building might have been made more quickly.
Talon's exploration goes about as expected. The river winds its way through some foothills, and further upstream is found to be flowing out of the mountains. Back home, the reequiped soldiers are ready to fly again.
(I seem to have originally miscalculated the HP of your armored units.)

The Nedici explorers find a flock of nesting drakes on the coast east of town. The drakes are as hostile as the ones that attacked Xeniice years ago, but the explorers easily defeat them and bring their skins and heads home. Exploration to the west is uneventful.
Work in the hall of learning is slow, as most of the usual researchers are instead working to build and stock the shelves of the new library. They expect this new facility to let them quickly make up the ground they lost.
Construction of the clothier's workshop goes as planned. Quara, by fostering good relations with the masters of the city's workshops (and having the less cooperative ones replaced), proves able to significantly improve productivity.

The Nedici held a celebration once their explorers had returned home. Mlaine, who had been assigned by Quara to "ensure their success," had brought the exotic skins to Quara. She had commissioned cloaks to be created from them, and divided them up between the various major families, as a symbol of what her rule could bring to the city. She kept only one for herself.

The Arlenth saw it as a strange challenge, of sorts, and took it upon themselves to expand the woodcutting operations.

Quara herself decided that a detailed survey of the remaining hills would go occur: With the other hills having different rocks, it was quite probable that a superior rock could be found.

At the Hall of Learning, bards trained new bards to read and write the pictogram-based language that Quara had helped design following her rise to power. At the library, meanwhile, bards discussed with themselves and with dissatisifed low-ranking workers the basics of the barter system, and how much objects should be worth, relative to each other. How much is an axe worth relative to a bag of grain? What about a sheep? But then how does one trade axes for a sheep, if the sheep owner doesn't want many axes?

The bards throughly enjoyed this hugely complex problem.

The Nedici elders, after deciding that better canoes were needed, began encouraging their craftsmen to be creative when building new canoes, rather then always following the traditional methods. Inferior replacement fishing canoes resulted.

Towards its end, he had gathered a small gang of Lozanth youth around himself, and conducted surprisingly effective raids against other families. Recognizing his potential as a leader, Quara the Great assigned him to a position over the Nedici Explorers, to ensure they stayed in line.

Kekash and his hunters run into supply difficulties again, and they are tired and hungry when they run into a savage tribe of incredibly pale-skinned humanoids. The brutes attack, but even as weakened as they are, Kekash's men are able to wipe them out. They take quite a bit of damage in exchange, however.
Back home, the newly trained swiftfangs are armed and ready to move out, and the new stone wall is an obvious improvement over the old wooden one. The second granary is less exciting, perhaps, but will let the city stockpile even more food than before.

A group of marauding insectoid people ride out of the east on the backs of horses and descends upon Veilhime one summer. The world, it seems, is not as empty or as peaceful as the Sidamaru had thought. With the Shieldguard out of town, the city's defense is up to the Hunter milita and the stout stone walls. The militia, unfortunately, is too thinly spread to prevent many of the riders from dismounting and scaling the walls, and casualties are severe. They are unable to fight the attackers off altogether, but they do manage to inflict enough damage that the raiders shy away from plundering the city proper and merely raid the outlying farms. The shieldguard, sadly, was out exploring the hills and forests north of the city, and their battle against a pack of oddly social bear-things (which they handily win) seems like an afterthought. Lius does prove unusually adept at using the mountains and hills to her advantage in a fight, however.
In less-significant news, fishing research goes quite well.

Is a surprisingly abrupt development, the people of Sunstone have unofficially adopted a currency based on a few prized materials - boar ivory, mother-of-pearl, and the occasional piece of fine jade dug from the quarries. Nobody seems to know who first came up with the idea, but the prevailing sentiment is that someone should have done it years ago.
Research into better farming methods also goes well, and new farms are built, along with a stone shrine. Vaeladin's workshop proves even more helpful than expected; the ability to scope out building sites from the air makes his job that much easier.
(You totally should have gotten that ability revealed last turn; I just missed it. And I am going to give you the buy labor -> economic boom thing.)

A thriving barter economy has sprung up, and new ways to build and propel seagoing vessels have been devised. Westward exploration is uneventful, as the Nedici explore coastlines and the Oro the forests in the interior. A new woodsman's camp is built, to little fanfare. The only unexpected development comes when a number of small black crystals are found west of the city. They are of little ornamental value, but many researchers suspect that they may be of use for something more practical - in combination with the copper found upstream, perhaps?

  Vaea swiftly realizes the hidden potential in the people's new habits, and quickly orders a center of commerce constructed to take advantage of it. She also gives the economy a nice infusion to encourage further growth, aware that there is always room for more workers.
  Vaeladin, meanwhile, finds himself rather busy revolutionizing farming attempts and overseeing the more practical aspects of Vaea's intended marketplace. His disposition even seems greatly improved by his ability to fly over construction sites.
  Talon oversees a far less profitable and certain project, leading the stalwarts into battle against the menace interfering with westward exploration.
