I've heard about camels pathing through your fort, through the caverns, up the other side, and to the other edge of the map, because there's a river on the map and your fort is the only way to get to the other side.

In short: Plump helmet men are little dudes made out of plump helmet flesh, giant olms are... giant olms, and cave swallows are like swallows except they live in caves.
