I'll be watching either way, besides just screwing around, and the downsides that brings, tend to be more fun, both to play and to watch.

Ok, just read an FAQ, it said Venice is between Byzantium and the HRE, but both of them are moribund vestigial empires.
So I'm looking forward to massing infantry and a few archers and cavalry on the side and beating some Milanese ass. Apparently I start with Crete too. What the hell am I supposed to do with that? My strategy will definitely revolve around securing Italy and then moving onto the HRE of Byzantium.

Crete is good for amassing trade income and provideing boats for naval power. Personilly I barely use boats except for fast trasport between areas around the Mediteranian, but I've heard others use them to crush the enemies movement and trade income to great effect.

***Update***

The local games stopre did not have it in as they said they would. Now instead of 'Definitely Monday.' they said it will be in "Probably tomorrow.'
I predict definitely by the day after tomorrow.

Sorry for the wait, I'm eager for this to start too!

Cruses!

Also, I might as well start my LP, if we're waiting.

If you want partial screenshots, I recommend Greenshot.

Also good luck, Medieval II can get quite irritating when the AI eventually views you as a threat.

You mean the Papacy? I'm probably going to have to go east... But Milan first!

No, it's the fact that when you're big enough and/or rich enough and/or have a large enough army even the staunchest of your allies, hard enough to find in this game, will turn on you, even if you somehow managed to attain the best reputation possible. The thing is, it isn't that difficult to reach said point in the game.

Most people can amass roughly 20-30 provinces by turns 50-60, as far as I've seen in LP's. After that, the gain slows by massive amounts, because most of your time is spent murdering spies, merchants, and armies from smaller nations eager to steal your shit.

Remember when I said:

Well it's not in today. Suprise.

For you reading pleasure I have the reasons so far:

1. The guy was sick. He had a fever of (not quite) 103.
2. He forgot the 'l' in medieval, resulting in the order not being sent.
3. They just fucking forgot to check one day.
4. The supplier was in a sales meeting all day.
5. It's a greasy dive and I probably should have waited until I had the game to announce this LP rather than expecting the game would be in on time. (Expect the worst and all your surprises will be happy.)

Fortunately this is 'Play with Your Buddies' and not 'Mafia' so this isn't srs bsns and hopefully you won't gut me with a fishhook.

However, I've found the problem: Armok hasn't had many sacrifices from me lately. I better go fix that.

...I can understand a few spelling mistakes aren't a problem when you're just talking to people, but when you make a simple mistake like that, you know whoever's trying to give it to you either is a horrid speller, lazy ass that doesn't double-check on important things, or just plain stupid. Or in the worst case, all three.

Anyway, don't worry, I can wait.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

It's true. One day I was in there there was an overwhelming odour of greasy pizza, at three in the afternoon. It's really sketchy. Next time I have to rely on them for something I'll just wait for the fucking phone call.

This should now be a Medieval II: Total War LP with the special gimmick that you'll be playing and posting screens from DF and pretending that you're playing M2:TW until the game arrives, at which point a MYSTERIOUS NEW PATCH will add 3D graphics to the game and you may proceed as originally planned.
