I have to. Should they take Constantinople they will be able to pillage up the Balkans and into the heart of my kingdom.

Apparently they are at war with the Mongols. I'll update the OP with updated shots of the Kingdom of Venice once I colonize a bit.

***(Poorly Done) Update***

I'm tired now and will be away tomorrow, so here's the update.

There's really not much happening. Brazil has been located and conquered, currently converting the citizens and looking for other settlements to take.

I am besieging Caen and hold Rennes after taking out a hilariously puny garrison.

I keep trying to take Bordeaux (held by Spain) but the Pope keeps ordering me to stop hostilities.

After I took Bran the Wallachians in Sofia rose up and killed the last of the Hungarian royal family and reasserted independace after 400 years. I promptly conquered the shit out of them.

The Byzantines have just enough troops to keep me from crushing them, and the Timurids took out that massive garrison in Thessalonica. Picture currently MIA.

That's about it. I'll try and compile something better when I get back.

There was little actually happening against France. I took Rennes and am currently sieging Caen. However, the Spanish are disputing my claim to southern France from their base of Bordeaux. I have fought several battles against them but the Pope always acts to shut down the fighting.

A large Venetian force marched on the capital of Bordeaux, but the Spanish send a large force of their own to stop them.

With the large number of missile units on both side the battle had no solid lines of conflict. But the Venetians are willing to adapt.

Spoiler: Hungary Gets It (click to show/hide)

The Venetians readied a large army and marched on the Hungarian capital of Budapest. In the capital the Hungarians were commanded by the crown prince, who was named after one of the first kings the Venetians had fought against. The Venetian artillery broke the walls open and the Venetians poured in.

However Hungary struck back and took Zagreb, but the empowered Venetians quickly reclaimed the city. Following this they marched on Bran, one generic siege later it fell and Sofia threw into revolt, with the original Wallachian rulers reclaiming their independence. That was unfortunately not in the cards. Venice threw all their might against them. They died in a hail of gunfire, as the Venetians deployed their first arquebusiers.

The Byzantines have been driven out of Thessalonica and bribed off the commander of the army besieging Corinth, leaving me having to fight the Timurids. So far engagements have been minor, and I forgot to upload the last of the screenshots. Most of them consisted of pictures of elephant artillery (HOLY SHIT) and me thinking to my self 'JUST FUCKING FIRE YOU FUCKING ARCHERS!'

However, I bear bad news.

If you want to win this game in the time limit, you absolutely have to be mega aggressive and be continuously at war. I'm pretty sure your people would be happy with your achievement anyways (who wants to control the whole world, anyway!) I vote to carry on - as long as you're not bored.
