Necroing old thread just to inform you of what happened in game. Apparently few days ago some dignified soldier guys barged into the alien ship, and murdered every sons of bitches on the alien ship with flame throwers. Now they detached themselves from the alien ship, and are en route to mars.

There's not really much for new players to do at the moment now that the alien ship is gone. No real hazard, no real place to scavenge and things like that. Accordingly, they don't have much players anymore, though I think they are getting close to releasing V3. All that's left for roleplaying is some in-game dispute between clans and normies / mutants. New players are going to have a hard time fitting in, especially combat oriented characters.

Also, like someone stated on the previous thread, you need to stay 'interesting' in order for you to even attempt roleplaying with other more experienced players, and by I mean interesting, I mean INTERESTING. I admit, it's quite a let down for me. I don't quite like walking around acting like a jester for experienced players. But something's gotta give, I guess.

I have to say, I am quite impressed at that gold on the moon explanation.
You'd have to go far to find anything more poorly written or thought out than that. But I digress.

Is this game still active in any sense of the word?

If you go by the thread? No. Let the thread die, too. Don't even respond to this post.

In a more helpful answer, apparently the game ended in some big explosive grand finale where everyone died.
Honestly I only played for a bit early on in the game, I have no idea what was going on with most of the plot.
From what I've read there is a sortof semi-sequel/continuation being developed by someone, set back on one of the planets before everything got weird, and the main admins of the main game are supposed to be developing a videogame version.

I'd check on the ARPI website, that's where I read all this, but right now I am not using my own internet so cannot check myself.

Yeah, AtonementRPI had a set plot arc that was completed a few months ago and ended the game.  'tis better to have satisfying plot and finale, than to have your typical MOO/MUD that shambles on aimlessly for years

They're working on some new projects though.
