The Lacuna Expanse is set in a far-off region of space, allowing you to go to your planet view to add views, look for mineral-rich planets, build ships to dispose of waste, colonize gas giants, find ancient artifacts and glyphs, and much, much more.
I'm 'New UCR' ingame. We should form a B12 alliance. Who's up for it? I got lucky and I started on a world that was once a site of one of the colonys of one of the 'Big 3' players, and I immediately got 5K in every resource/hr due to there being crashed ship sites, volcanos, etc. etc.

Does the tutorial just abruptly end? I did the Essentia Booster quest, and nothing happened. I purchased all four of the boosters like it said, and I am not getting any messages for the completion reward.

Edit, scratch that, I just reloaded the page and got the message.

I really didn't want to say this...
But I have to now.

I am admitting now it's core gameplay is like any other browser strategy game. But, this is that gameplay perfected. Even the tutorial gave a better storyline then most modern games. The graphics are the best I have seen for a browser-based strategy MMO, actually showing the planet's ground view. Every building has its own graphic that changes with every upgrade you put it through. Your planet's surface will actually look like a metropolis once you have built up enough.

Also, there interface is easy to use and not clunky. Everything is simple, the playerbase is not supermassive, and the game even features a serverwide chat, sitting nicely on the bottom of the screen. You can fine-detail the attributes of your race. Not physically, since that would have no meaning, but what they can do. Their trading ability, habitable planets, eco-friendliness, etc.

All in all, exactly what I was looking for.

P.S the only reason I gave this a 5 is beacuase it is amazing. But thats IT.

Also to note, Cash Shop only gives you increased production of 25% at around 6 days and 30mins, plus you get 35 Cash Shop Points as part of the Tutorial. Which can give you a good boost to every production plus and extra one too...
